As a local lifestyle expert and resident of Maple Grove, I was tapped by MSP Communications to write the Minneapolis Northwest Insider's Guide's "Day Tripping" article, the issue's main feature highlighting the area's hottest spots to go for food, family fun, grownup getaways, outdoor adventures and retail therapy. This was a special section in Mpls.St.Paul Magazine's May 2019 issue.

In August 2012, I profiled motocross phenom Ryan Dungey for Southwest Metro Magazine's website, focusing on his childhood, family and roots in Chaska.

This feature in the July 2011 issue of Maple Grove Magazine highlights the many innovative steps the city took towards sustainability, including those taken by The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes, Maple Grove Hospital, Great River Energy and Allied Waste.

The June 2011 issue of Maple Grove Magazine featured my third Best of Maple Grove story. I decided to rebrand the awards to the eMGy Awards, and utilized a local trophy maker to create a custom handheld award made of maple wood, staying true to Maple Grove's roots. I chose the categories and the results came from an online readers' choice survey, which I had to organize and count. The winners were honored at an annual Best of Maple Grove awards event.

The February 2011 issue of Maple Grove Magazine featured my cover story on four local independent filmmakers. Each one has a different story to share, but they all have one thing in common: There's nothing glamorous about their lifestyle, but that doesn't deter them from pursuing their passion.

The March 2010 issue of Maple Grove Magazine featured my story about Jim Reynolds, who died one year earlier of a brain aneurysm. Reynolds, a well known community ambassador and philanthropist in Maple Grove, lives on through the Jim Reynolds Foundation, a nonprofit created by his family and friends to give back to support research and development for brain aneurysm identification. This story highlights the foundation, as well as the impact Reynolds had on the local community.

This cover story in the February 2010 issue of Maple Grove Magazine profiled reality TV star Ashley Trainer, who talked about her experience on the popular CBS show Survivor. The Q&A format was a natural fit for her entertaining personality.

The November 2009 issue of Maple Grove Magazine featured my story on local decor trends for the holiday season, led by local designer David Bakken's tips and products from local shops. Bakken, co-owner of A Place Called Home, was voted Best Interior Designer in the 2009 Best of Maple Grove readers' choice awards.
